To be true to our purpose, we’re committed to service projects that empower women and recognize our impact on our communities. Currently, all our projects focus on education. The GEWN Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship Program is an ongoing project, now in its twelfth year, while others may vary from year to year as we see community needs changing.

GEWN Invites Applications for the 2009-2010 Annual GEWN Scholarship Awards
GEWN’s Scholarship Committee is accepting applications for our 2009-2010 Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship Awards. This year we will award two $3,000 scholarships to non-traditional women students who have had to interrupt or delay their college studies. Our application deadline this year is April 15.
GEWN sponsors the Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship program each year to contribute to the development and leadership of women pursuing higher education.
2009 marks the 12th year of the annual awards; the first was awarded for the 1998-99 academic year. We have supported 33 women "leaders of tomorrow" from ten different metro Atlanta colleges and universities and have awarded over $75,000.

Leadership Panels and Forums
The panels provide a forum for the GEWN member to share her personal and professional experiences to assist students in developing their leadership potential in a variety of situations. Lively question-and-answer sessions follow opening comments from the panel members. Recent panels have been held at Agnes Scott College and DeVry Institute of Technology.
Occasional Leadership Forums introduce us to prominent thinkers with the insights and tools to recognize, prepare for and profit from changes and opportunities in the 21st century.
